Arbor Day

Last week we celebrated Arbor Day in Nottingham Classrooms in grades 3-5.  Students could choose among nine different activities allowing students to honor the day in a variety of ways.  Students with all different learning styles found a way to honor this special day.  Some students drew pictures or wrote poetry. Other students wrote lyrics and shared their amazing songs with the class.  Some students collaborated on developing their own board game and others created commercials on iMovie persuading people to reduce, reuse, and recycle.  The creativity was really flowing at Nottingham.

In partnership with Dominion Power, they have generously donated saplings to all participating students through a program called Project Plant It. Due to a little delay, our saplings are not here yet but will be sent home with students as soon as they arrive.

Sorry that some of your artwork posted sideways or upside down.  I can't seem to get them all facing the right direction.
